Job Title: VMWare Software Defined Data Center AdministratorLocation: Charlotte, NC, North Carolina Home OfficeJob Summary and Description: Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides ongoing senior level guidance and support for Active Directory and VMware helping to ensuring accuracy and reliable management and controls.
  • Provide engineering, design, support, and strategies for core infrastructure services such as storage, backups, restores, compliance-audit, patching, alerts, monitoring, etc.
  • Provide engineering, design and support for cloud infrastructure deployments.
  • Work closely with the Network and Security teams supporting core needs focusing on knowledge sharing, meeting agreed to SLA's, monitoring, patching, and, the proactive mitigation of vulnerabilities.
  • Create and proactively maintain accurate documentation on past and current activities performed assisting with the development of diagrams, workflows, spreadsheets, process maps, etc. in support of the data analytics and artificial intelligence platforms.
  • Assist with typical daily troubleshooting and ticket/issue resolution working with internal customers and external vendors as necessary.
  • Assist with the ongoing development of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity strategies.
  • Other tasks as assigned by IT Management.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent work experience required.
  • A minimum of 8+years supporting enterprise infrastructure such as VMWare, Server Infrastructure, Storage, FC SAN Switches, Active Directory, Exchange and, Backup technologies.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expert with Active Directory, VMware Administration, High Performance Computing and Windows and Linux Server Operating Systems.
  • Experience configuring and supporting Nutanix and other server infrastructure including, build, configuration, maintenance and operations.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Ability to troubleshoot Level 3+ infrastructure issues.
  • Proven ability to multitask using excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with cloud services offerings such as SaaS, IaaS, PaaS and DRaas.
  • Experience in an Enterprise Level Datacenter environment.
