We are partnering with our growing Pittsburgh based client in recruiting for a

Senior Software Product Manager. In this role you will be responsible for product strategy, planning, and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with development, sales, marketing, and support to ensure business and customer satisfaction goals are met, This position will have responsibility for a significant product portfolio and will identify product gaps, generate new ideas that grow market share, and improve the customer experience with products within the portfolio.

Why is this opportunity unique?This Sr. Product Manager will have an opportunity to scale the software business by creating software features and applications within iNet platform and generate recurring revenue. This product leader will play a key role in driving SaaS revenue for the company and continuing to enhance customer experience in gas detection workflows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer personas, workflows, jobs to be done and pain points
  • Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Review and prioritize scope of future releases of existing products, balancing new capabilities, enhancements and quality of improvements based on business and customer impact
  • Develop new ideas that grow market share, improve profitability, and enhance the customer experience
  • Champion Lean Portfolio Management process within the organization
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
  • Act as a product champion to build awareness and understanding of current solutions
  • Plans and executes daily portfolio management tactics and enhancement projects
  • Analyzes data related to product quality, financial performance, competitiveness, and trends in the marketplace and recommends appropriate strategies
  • Gathers and prioritizes product and customer requirements for new and enhanced products
  • Identify and obsolete end-of-life product offerings
  • Coordinate with marketing team to develop compelling and clear sales tools and marketing collateral that clearly articulate customer challenges, features and benefits of products
  • Supports sales team with large, pre-sale opportunities

Qualifications Required (non-negotiable)
  • 5+ years of product management or product marketing experience
  • Experience managing software product line
  • Business or Engineering degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record of data collection, problem solving, plan development, and all aspects of managing a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Familiar with product management concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Goal-oriented, data driven, and highly ethical
  • Ability to travel to customer and non-customer sites globally (20-30%)

Qualifications Preferred (negotiable)
  • MBA (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the industrial safety and/or gas detection products market
  • Proficiency with Windchill, Jira, and/or Salesforce.com
