Location: Charlotte, NC Description: Our client is currently seeking a Lead QA Engineer - with Murex Title: Lead QA Engineer - with Murex Location: Charlotte, NC Duration : 6 +MonthsJob Description: POSITION OVERVIEW : Lead QA EngineerPOSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS: Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Define the test strategies for Functional, Automation, Regression and Smoke Testing
- Effectively manage a test team
- Understand and implement the testing processes
- Prepare functional and automation test plans
- Deploy and manage test frameworks
- Manage and select QA tools & processes
- Identify and communicate risks during test planning and execution phases
- Ownend to end testing tasks like scoping, estimation, planning, work allocation, resource management, test design & execution, defect management, progress tracking & status reporting, management reporting, UAT support, test closure etc.
- Plan & coordinate for timely availability of the test data & environments
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with project teams, test teams and support partners across US & India
- Ensure that all posttest execution wrap up activities are conducted for projects per procedure / requirements
- Facilitate regular communication with IT and business partners using various methods to monitor progress toward project goals / milestones, task status, and identify / address issues

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Define and Implement the QA metrics framework
- Identify & drive the improvement opportunities in the QA space - Proactively communicate and collaborate with the other QA & non-QA teams
- Knowledgeable of Eagle STAR and Pace components and has significant experience in supporting Investment Operations running on Eagle suite of Products
- Solid knowledge in Murex
- Solid knowledge of various investment vehicles (Fixed Income Securities, Derivatives, Equities, Mutual Funds, Futures, Forwards, SWAPS and Muni Bonds)
- Knowledge in Portfolio Accounting, Securities
- Demonstrated experience in testing EDI Applications
- Experience in development/testing of ETL test scripts based on technical specifications/Technical Design Documents and Source to Target mappings
- Ability to handle large amounts of data, testing 1,000s of orders, etc.
- Ability to query database to validate data / ability to view and compare data files to identify differences
- Ability to use the appropriate automation tools from the available options within TIAA
- Ability to work with 3rd party vendors when necessary, to start services, run jobs, etc. As we are testing in a SaaS environment, we have limited control over certain aspects of the environment.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/Waterfall development process. Nice to have: - Good understanding of financial mathematics - Enterprise Automation Robotic Process Automation, Workflows Automation Preferred
- Performance Testing knowledge preferred - Ability to take an active, visible role in supporting change efforts (change agent) - Ability to proactively identify opportunities for cost-savings and efficiency improvement
- Good Knowledge in Eagle Investment Systems
- Good Knowldege in Murex
