Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a UX Lead for a FULL-TIME assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY. 100% Remote to start Only open to East Coast Responsibilities :

  • You'll be a leading advocate for user-centered design within your project teams.
  • You are passionate about user-centered design with experience being a leader in your organization.
  • You'll have completed multiple large-scale designs that show complexity and a focus on delivering usable, viable software.
  • You have excellent presentation skills and can communicate approaches, defend decisions, handle disagreements with poise and professionalism.
  • You are solution oriented focusing on outcomes and driving consensus around solutions that are user centric.
  • You're independent and can be trusted to collaboratively create deliverables for app teams without required oversight, follow-up, or check-ins.
  • You're able to speak to what made you successful and to talk about challenges and consider them learning experiences.
  • You've proven your focus on collaboration on the UX team and on cross-functional project teams.
  • You'll mentor new or less-experienced team members to help them grow as a UX professional.
Required Skills :
  • 5-8 years of related experience in industry, design environments, and/or design education demonstrating a focus and passion for UX.
  • A portfolio that shows multiple shipped products, iterative designs, lessons learned, and a refined design process.
  • Demonstrated passion and expertise in the field of UX that is reported by team members and project teams.
  • A true collaborator that works across disciplines to offer input and take input understanding that is the best way to deliver for our users.
  • Experience working with product managers and app teams to bring UX to the forefront and challenge assumptions, approaches, and pre-conceived solutions.
  • A font of knowledge and experience that others in the team and company seek out for information, opinions, or assistance.
  • Mastery of the tools of the trade and our design approach while actively sharing and improving the skills of others.
  • Leads critique, working, and brainstorming sessions constructively and shares knowledge throughout the team.
