Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an AWS Cloud Architectfor a contractassignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY. Responsibilities :

  • Building secure and compliant infrastructure as code using Terraform, building CI/CD pipelines, automating monitoring/obervability integrations, developing repeatable procedures, providing insight into best practices on integrations, automated environmental configurations within the AWS Cloud.
  • Building highly available infrastructure model, implementing security best practices, designing enterprise monitoring and logging capabilities in alignment with the enterprise cloud strategy.
  • Provide automation, integration expertise for SaaS, PaaS, IaaS solutions.
  • Responsible for providing necessary documentation for best practices and continued support for application developers.
  • Not only supports current projects in the pipeline, but also provides technical expertise in critical areas such as containerization, data & analytical areas.
  • Serve as SME on building, implementing hybrid cloud architecture, Data Center Migrations strategy, Security & Compliance frameworks.
Required Skills:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
  • 10 + years of managing enterprise infrastructure.
  • 5 + years of strong hands on experience on AWS and/or Azure environments.
  • 5 + years hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Hashicorp Terraform.
  • 5 + years of cloud migrations and high proficiency in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS environments.
  • Experience in setting up DevOps infrastructure, CI/CD pipeline implementation strategy to drive automated build management using GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, Code Commit, Code Pipeline and Code build services.
  • Strong operational implementation experience or working knowledge of cloud identity and access management solutions enforcing security guidelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing expert guidance, building highly available/fault-tolerant enterprise class infrastructure with multiple-region and multi AZ models.
  • Demonstrated experience of migrating critical workloads to public cloud and providing on-going operational support.
  • Extensive hands-on experience working with AWS services include but not limited to IAM, EC2, S3, ELB/ALB, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, ECS/EKS
  • Extensive experience in building dashboards using native solutions such as Cloudwatch/Cloudtrail, SNS solutions to meet real-time operational monitoring needs.
  • Strong working knowledge of serverless technologies such as AWS Lambdas, Azure functions and cloud native tools/technologies.
  • Proficiency in installing and managing systems, applications and environments on RedHat, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu and Windows platforms
  • Working knowledge of Elastic Container Services (ECS), Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS).
  • Any Bachelor Degree.
