Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Application Support Analyst for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial clients in Raleigh, NC. The Credit Derivatives support team in Raleigh is facing off directly to Trading in Credit, ITS, and SP. The team provides support for Trading risk and PnL systems. We believe that the support role on offer provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to experience a Front Office support environment. The candidate will have visibility of a significant number of trading platforms and will have day to day interaction with the various Trading desks. Required Skills :

  • At least 3+ years supporting software applications preferably in Finance (L1/L2)
  • Strong technical skills a solid working knowledge of Sql, Excel/VBA, XML
  • Application understanding and ability to query effectively using databases
  • Good understanding of Windows server and desktop environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with Front Office users
Preferred Skills :
  • Front Office experience in Fixed Income products
  • Strong Credit and Fixed Income products knowledge ideally
  • Strong Experience in Risk and PNL generation
  • Experience in VBA or Scripts
  • Good development skills in C# and .Net preferred
  • Scripting experience in any Perl, Python, shell
