QA Automation Engineer - Web

TITLE: QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER - WEB Location: Remote - CST or EST A global consumer goods organization is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join their web testing team that focuses on the website for the US and Canada. The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for delivering and coordinating all testing artifacts and activities (Test Estimates, Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Automation Scripts and Test results) for the various applications that the engineer is managing within the company's technology portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java or Javascript building out automated frameworks for testing. You will work on a variety of projects in conjunction with the web development team. Agile experience is required. Strong functional testing experience is desired. Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of testing and Quality Engineering through the full project/sprint lifecycle. Own manual & automated test script development and execution, data sourcing/data provisioning, defect analysis, and ensuring that proper test result documentation and processes are followed as per the test strategy. Partner with the business analysts/product managers, developers and end-users to ensure that test scripts are developed or modified to cover entire product functionality. Perform initial analysis of defects identified during the testing cycle and escalate issues as required. Analyze defects identified in production system to ensure that the proper controls are implemented in the regression test bed to ensure that the defect does not occur in production again. Maintain full traceability between requirements and test cases Provide accurate estimates and timely status updates Prepare and maintain KT documentation for onboarding new team members. Work closely with offshore testing team. Proven ability to work independently /or as an integral member of a team.Requirements Degreed professional (Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree) required or equivalent experience 5+ years in QA Testing 3+ years in QA Automation Have a passion for problem solving, the ability to quickly learn new concepts, and must be able to interact with all levels of technical and business teams Strong knowledge on Test automation frameworks and programming background Experience in Java or JavaScript is required Experience with one or more of the following RDMS : Oracle, MS SQL, MY SQL, MongoDB API testing tools & automation (Rest-Assured, SoapUI, Postman, SOAtest or CA LISA etc.) experience is required Experience with BDD/TDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) is preferred Hands-on Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipeline in Jenkins or Similar Experience working with JIRA or other similar tools Strong reading and written language skills About Infinity Consulting Solutions At Infinity Consulting Solutions our mission is to cultivate successful long term relationships with candidates and clients matching the right candidate with the right client.
