A Java Software Engineer on the Web Development Team is an experienced IT professional who builds, validates, participates in implementations, and maintenance of IT application solutions in support of current and future business needs. Works collaboratively with IT partners in understanding business requirements to support the PMO in the estimation process and to create technical and functional specifications. Participates in technical designs and provides clarifications as needed. Contributes to the focus and effectiveness of the software engineering team through sharing your software engineering experience and adding value to our team through delivering enhanced and new solutions while tracking issues to resolution.   • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 2+ years' experience encompassing:
    • Proven track record of designing and delivering high-quality web applications.
    • Experience building solutions using JavaScript, Vue.js, TypeScript, JAVA/Spring Framework, SQL Server, and REST API's.
    • Experience working with a source versioning tools such as Git and/or GitHub.
    • Demonstrated systems-thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • K nowledge of industry trends and best practice.
    • Demonstrated written, oral, and presentation / public speaking communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building solutions using elastic architectures (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
  • Experience developing in an Agile environment and maintain an inclusive team-based environment.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps.
  • Experience with containerization tools.
  • Experience building solutions on Microsoft Azure utilizing Azure Kubernets Service (AKS).
