Network Infrastructure Specialist

job summary:WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Responsible for a variety of important network tasks within DCT. and works closely with the Network Engineer team in designing, implementing, and monitoring secure networks to meet the needs of the company.
• Assumes responsibility for assigned office location(s)
• Designs and deploys networks for new offices
• Installs, configures, and maintains switches, routers, firewalls, Wireless controllers and wireless Access Points
• Implements traffic filtering using standard and extended access-lists
• Upgrades IOS on Cisco equipment
• Configures and troubleshoots Site-to-Site VPN tunnels
• Creates and maintains up-to-date network topology diagrams
• Performs network monitoring and analysis
• Performs network address assignments
• Troubleshoots network outages and other network issues
• Provides helpdesk support for network issues and responds to requests for IT support
• Maintains the inventory of equipment, software, and licenses
• Serves as a mentor for junior team members
• Special Work Hours: May be required to work off hours on occasions

• Bachelor's degree

• Min of 5 yrs of professional experience, preferably in a similar role
• Experience working in network administration role
• Experience with local area network and wide area network administration
• Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
• Experience with cloud/hybrid cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, etc.) is preferred
• Experience with Cisco Unity Call Managers (CUCM) is a plus
• Familiar with Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls is preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot technology issues
• strong problem solving & escalation management skills
• Ability to interact with employees at all levels
