job summary:WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Responsible for a variety of important network tasks within DCT. and works closely with the Network Engineer team in designing, implementing, and monitoring secure networks to meet the needs of the company.
- Assumes responsibility for assigned office location(s)
- Designs and deploys networks for new offices
- Installs, configures, and maintains switches, routers, firewalls, Wireless controllers and wireless Access Points
- Implements traffic filtering using standard and extended access-lists
- Upgrades IOS on Cisco equipment
- Configures and troubleshoots Site-to-Site VPN tunnels
- Creates and maintains up-to-date network topology diagrams
- Performs network monitoring and analysis
- Performs network address assignments
- Troubleshoots network outages and other network issues
- Provides helpdesk support for network issues and responds to requests for IT support
- Maintains the inventory of equipment, software, and licenses
- Serves as a mentor for junior team members
- Special Work Hours: May be required to work off hours on occasions
- Bachelor's degree
- Min of 5 yrs of professional experience, preferably in a similar role
- Experience working in network administration role
- Experience with local area network and wide area network administration
- Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
- Experience with cloud/hybrid cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, etc.) is preferred
- Experience with Cisco Unity Call Managers (CUCM) is a plus
- Familiar with Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls is preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot technology issues
- strong problem solving & escalation management skills
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels
