We are seeking individuals to work as Data Scientists at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. The contractor shall: (1) Collaborate with staff to create a dedicated Data Science and Sharing Team for Neuroimaging within the Neuroimaging Core in the functional MRI Facility (FMRIF) (2) Implement a shared repository for researchers to store, organize and access neuroimaging and phenotypic data collected at NIMH (3) Collaborate with the Machine Learning Core to research and develop novel methods and statistical approaches (4) Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation. (5) Design, develop and modify existing software to help solve scientific computing problems, which involve graphics, prototype database development, genomic data analysis, modeling and simulation, and data display and presentation. (6) Perform computations on research data for analysis. (7) Provide support for database organization, data storage and management (8) Provide support on integration of data acquisition software and data analysis applications. (9) Prepare performance dashboards, reports and statistical analysis for delivery to senior researchers and executives. (10) Provide interpretation of results, guidance and scientific support to the research team. (11) Evaluate, analyze, and interpret research data and contributes to presentations and manuscripts. (12) Conduct a bibliometric analysis of peer reviewed literature to determine the current state of data sharing practices within the NIMH IRP and contribute to yearly report for institute leadership on the state of data sharing (13) Conduct educational courses on data science and data sharing techniques and best practices (14) Maintain deep understanding of computer and data science theories and the latest trends and developments in computational and information sciences. REQUIREMENTS.
