Intermediate or Senior QA Automation Engineer / Mobile Applications

A global leader in medical device technology is looking for multiple Mobile QA Automation Engineers to help build out their new in-house team in Pleasanton. This Fortune 500 company is developing an innovative diagnostic monitoring application that will be used to change the way heart diseases are diagnosed and treated. You will play an integral role by building test automation frameworks for mobile UI in Appium as well as testing Java APIs. If you are an skilled in building end-to-end test automation frameworks for native or cross-platform mobile applications you will be a strong contender for this position! Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance or combination of development and QA
• Automation framework development
• Experience with Selenium Webdriver and big bonus for experience with Appium
• Some exposure to mobile app testing, preferably with Appium or similar
• OOP in Java (most preferred), Python or similar
• Exposure to Linux
• Fundamental knowledge of REST web services and best practices for testing APIs
• Experience with CI/CD and build systems
• Agile methodologies
• Strong communication skills
• Jira or similar tool
• BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, or similar field

• Prior work in the medical device industry
• Bluetooth low energy (BLE)
• Quality-driven Agile methods like BDD and/or TDD

• Develop a test automation framework for native Android and iOS applications
• Create new end-to-end test cases (web, mobile, API, integration, and system)
• Execute and maintain automation test suites
• Review test results and report/track bugs
• Increase testing code coverage over time
• Work with DevOps team to integrate automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines
• Document testing procedures
• Work with product team to make change request and develop new features
