Position: Senior Lab IT Support Analyst

Location: Wilmington, DE

Onsite: 5 days/week

Start date: Immediately

Engagement: Consulting only

Length of Engagement: 6 – 9 months, possible extension

Must Have Experience: working in a laboratory environmentThis position is responsible for delivering excellent support and administration of various laboratory and end user technologies. Activities include full life cycle of instrument connected devices, personal computers, mobile phones, and other end user technologies and software. This includes client image management of various platforms, in lab and desk side support, project implementation tasks, and server side administration where required for Active Directory account management, virus, spam and spyware/malware monitoring and prevention.

Summary of the Essential Functions of the Job
  • Provide deep expertise in the installation and support of lab-based IT systems, desktop, laptop and associated software
  • Responsible for client restores and hardware troubleshooting
  • Responsible for adhering to SDLC protocols and procedural mechanisms including change control, documentation and Help Desk issue logging updating
  • Responsible for supporting client business functions, such as printing, scanning, and meetings using approved standard technologies
  • Responsible for upgrades, hotfix installation, patch management and client updates
  • Document process control, technical instructions & compliance procedures
  • Responsible for customer engagement and management communications following company and departmental protocols

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise with configuring and maintaining various hardware including, HP, Dell, and Lenovo laptops and desktops as well as various client peripherals including lab components
  • Expertise with IT setup of lab instruments such as Waters, and Agilent
  • Experience with pharmaceutical applications such as ChemDraw, Accord, Diva, DSGene, Prism, SciFinder, and MOE
  • Experience with client applications including MS Office/Exchange/Project/Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Edge, Symantec Anti-Virus, and various standard client components including media players, compression and encryption tools, remote access programs, etc.
  • Experience with operating systems including Windows 7 and 10. Some Apple Operating System experience is preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years Desktop Support and administration experience
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, and a customer-oriented attitude
