Our client, a financial services company, is seeking an Info Systems Engineer III

Location: Charlotte, NC

Position Type: Contract

Essential Functions:
  • Leading in the implementation of EA strategies and best practices to support business objectives, while focusing on business process design, solutions, information gathering and technology utilization.
  • Providing guidance to enterprise architects on defining technical service capabilities, design attributes, draft enterprise profiles and segment architecture; controlling risks and solving complex issues related to EA.
  • Maintaining relationships with stakeholders, addresses stakeholder requirements and providing clients consultations to shape the future success of EA.
  • Providing EA support by directing teams in baseline, target and roadmap development, transition planning, system and security management and segment architecture.

Minimum Experience:

  • Business Process Design: Trains others to identify and implement required infrastructure to support specific processes. Participates in the design and implementation of a supporting organizational structure. Leads a variety of types of business process design initiatives.   • Problem Solving: Ensures capture of lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort. Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts. Develops successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems. Analyzes and synthesizes information and devises alternative resolution strategies.
  • Analytical Thinking: Approaches a complex problem by breaking it down into its component parts. Chooses among a diverse set of analytical tools according to the nature of the situation.   • Internal Resource Coordination: Trains others on coordination techniques according to a particular business requirement. Optimizes existing collaborative styles using advanced coordination skills. Advises on organizational best practices for internal resource coordination. Designs a comprehensive tool set to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of business information.
  • IT Architecture: Evaluates IT architecture standards and policies to learn its principles and practices. Consults on planning, integrating and migrating IT architecture. Provides IT architecture solutions based on business and technical requirements. Oversees the compliance of IT architecture principles for an organization. Directs the discussion of issues and considerations for adopting an open architecture. Creates cohesive IT architecture applications for information and platforms.
  • Business Architecture: Performs quality assurance for BA deliverables by monitoring each phase in the design process. Optimizes current processes and standards in BA to revise technical errors and improve the overall efficiency. Instructs less experienced architects on what should be considered in business services mapping. Resolves moderately complex issues in business services building processes. Estimates BA success prospects on projects by combining technical and business metrics (e.g. costs). Analyzes the stakeholders' business needs and makes changes to design processes where necessary to ensure that stakeholder requirements are fully met.
  • Data Architecture: Anticipates any obstacles and makes plans accordingly to ensure that stakeholder requirements are fully reflected in data architecture outcomes. Coordinates data architecture project resources to effectively achieve business goals. Recommends improvements to data architecture processes to ensure high quality of data architecture deliverables and consistency. Solves moderately complex issues in target data architecture design processes (e.g. data management process modeling, data entity matrix design). Monitors data architecture design processes (e.g. interface to data), in accordance with existing processes and standards. Guides junior data architects on considerations in the design of architecture building blocks.
  • Architecture Modeling: Determines corresponding indicators for each technology layer and evaluates the operational performance of each layer. Interprets relevant principles for technology architecture modeling requirements from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Decides on specific roles and responsibilities of engineers within business, information and data architecture modeling. Evaluates technology product roles and strengths within the project and locates appropriate technology providers based on results. Coordinates materials for architecture design modeling. Consults on architecture framework design; verifies operational objectives for each framework design procedure.
  • Business Process Modeling: Presents differing views on the same business process for different audiences. Determines the workflow and actors involved in a new product or service design through BPM. Discusses results of successful BPM interventions among diverse scenarios. Finds gaps and redundancies in business processes via BPM techniques. Evaluates and simplifies existing business processes by using BPM. Selects technology or modifies decisions based on BPM study results.
  • Application Design, Architecture: Explores and evaluates application design considerations for multiple technologies. Prepares technical design documents and blueprints for applications. Interprets application services such as API; integrates them with technical design. Facilitates in application design reviews and walkthroughs. Develops various, distinct and multiple technical application designs. Creates and evaluates technical alternatives for complex applications.
  • Consulting Services: Explains the key standards, processes, practices and capabilities across multiple consulting services. Delivers well-informed perspectives of key consulting operational issues and considerations for multiple services and/or operating environments. Describes experience with various consulting services relative to relationships, inter-dependencies and integration. Explains best consulting practices and their rationale for the organization and industry. Describes experience providing one or more advisory services in multiple or diverse environments. Provides depth of insight into one specific consulting service and/or breadth across multiple services.
  • Enterprise IT Architecture: Facilitates creation of architectures for business, applications, information and technology. Consults on architectural integration and implementation issues, and their business implications. Develops enterprise architectural principles and standards as a key organizational contributor. Directs the discussion of issues and considerations for adopting a specific enterprise architecture. Oversees the integration and migration of major existing and planned business changes. Coaches others on planning, migration and implementation of enterprise architectural changes.
