Position Description

The Food Hub Deliveries & Fulfillment Specialist position is vital to the workings of LINC, contributing to the support of community focused farms, sustainable agriculture, and local economic development in the Inland Northwest.

The Food Hub Deliveries and & Fulfillment Specialist will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and other Deliveries & Fulfillment Specialists to ensure local product is received efficiently and accurately from farmers and brought to community partners to enjoy.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Food Hub Deliveries & Fulfillment Specialist position is responsible for:

Warehouse floor support. This position supports the movement of local farm products in and out of our warehouse. Tasks include receiving product from farmers, coordination of products in warehouse inventory, packing LINC Box and food relief boxes, and preparing trucks for delivery.

Delivery and order fulfillment. This role is responsible for LINC Box, food relief, and wholesale deliveries to our local partners. The position will operate a non-CDL delivery truck. In addition to navigating the practical requirements of order fulfillment, this role serves as day-to-day face of LINC to many of our customers.

General operations support. This position shares responsibility for the maintenance of LINC’s facilities and fleet, and the continued optimization of our approach to doing business.Skills and Experience:

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

Interest in food systems and sustainability

Effective communication skills

Ability to adapt to challenges in real time and problem solve with teammates, suppliers and/or customers

Ability to track and execute projects involving multiple variables

Strong organizational skills

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience driving delivery trucks, operating lift gates, pallet jacks, forklifts

Handy with general maintenance and familiar with warehouse environments

Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds, with potential to work up to increased weight

Ability to stand/walk for 5+ hours during packing activities

Clean driving record and valid driver’s license

Experience with cooperatives, farming, brewing, food hubs, deliveries, etc. is beneficial

Details:

35-40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri

Hours will vary but take place between 7am and 7pm

Hours will take place at our warehouse in Spokane Valley, at LINC Box pickup locations, and delivering to our food bank partners in Yakima and Wenatchee

Starting at $15/hour with guaranteed annual raises
