This position is responsible for monitoring and auditing products and services received in support of S&K Aerospace Air Force programs. This position is responsible for conducting scheduled and unscheduled inspection of products in the warehouse to validate quality, conformity, and schedule as needed. The individual will exercise good judgment in planning, scheduling, and carrying out the requirements to maintain quality management of products and vendor performance. This position will also be responsible for processing Supplier Discrepancy Reports (SDR) for assigned programs. The position requires knowledge and experience performing inspections using established procedures, maintaining quality of systems, products, and services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Respond to customers and employees on quality issues.

Conduct physical inspection of product prior to shipment to customer.

Coordinate Government inspection and acceptance with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Quality Assurance Representative.

Perform quality inspections on products, parts, and packaging at various stages of the supply chain management process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.

Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual inspections and measurement tests. Verify kind, count and condition of all materials.

Rejects and returns unacceptable materials through the RMA/Supplier Discrepancy Report (SDR) process.

Document inspection results by completing reports and processing data into applicable quality database.

Review inspection results with Quality Assurance Supervisor and procurement team to ensure product quality standards are maintained.

Segregates nonconforming product into quarantine locations until nonconformance is resolved. Report Supply Discrepancy Report (SDR) issues to Quality Assurance Supervisor for action.

Submit accurate Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDR) for various programs, vendors, and customers.

Monitor and follow up on Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDR) submissions on products, materials, and components to ensure timely resolution and close out.

Utilize investigative techniques to determine root cause of Supply Discrepancy Report (SDR) and provide objective/qualitative evidence to support recommendations and to justify final decisions.

Communicate effectively through verbal and written communications to customers, vendors, U.S. Government representatives and management.

Support quality and organizational mission by maintaining effective quality standards as established by the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

Must perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of management.

Job Requirements:

Associate degree preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years experience in quality processes, quality assurance and/or certified formal training in the field.

Knowledge of document management and control; government quality standards and military specifications required.

Working knowledge of general business principles required.

Knowledge of commercial and military packaging requirements desired.

Excellent English language skills required, and ability to effectively communicate before groups of customers, management, or employees.

Must possess problem solving and analytical skills needed to investigate and develop theories and conclusions based on information gleaned from multiple sources of information.

Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs, specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Current driver’s license required.

Certified forklift operator preferred.

Must be eligible to satisfy a background investigation to obtain a security clearance.
