Process & Automation Engineer

PROCESS & AUTOMATION ENGINEER (FULL-TIME) Our fast-growing, technologically-driven manufacturing firm is seeking a Process & Automation Engineer. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to lead the technical production process and develop and integrate new technical activities. The person will have the ability to direct Maintenance employees as needed. Therefore, she or he must demonstrate excellent technical/ engineering skills, lean manufacturing principles, and an excellent knowledge of plant support systems. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager and the technical Top Management. The candidate works hand in hand with the international Research & Development Team as well as Production Teams in Plattsburgh, NY and Germany. Therefore, the position requires travel.Our Plant Location 112 SELIT Drive - Commerce, GA 30529Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain, develop, and improve the foam extrusion manufacturing process- Take responsibility for own efficiency and safety improvement projects from project planning to realization- Formulate maintenance handbooks and direct maintenance employees - Assist teams hands-on with process adjustments and repair machinery components- Establish technical and digital monitoring for foam extrusion machinery and develop process reactions and improvements based on data- Design machinery parts and tools with CAD applications- Competent in designing and executing electrical wiring and do programming (PLC)- Independently develop key process metrics, recipes and goals; develop action plans for desired results- Work with company resources to drive production trials and tests for new product developments- If necessary, respond to emergency calls and do hands-on troubleshooting in a 24/7 operationYour Skillset- Strong knowledge of machines and technical processes in a manufacturing setting- Track record of sophisticated process engineering projects- Academic background in process engineering, industrial engineering, or electrical engineering- Skilled in CAD software, technical writing, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Office365, Excel)- Fulfill physical requirements including walking, standing, stooping and climbing- Ability to react on emergency calls outside normal work hours to support hands-on with troubleshooting; maximum of 40min driving distance to the plant is preferred - Committed to quality, safety and communicationPreferred Qualifications- Academic background in process engineering, industrial engineering, or electrical engineering- Minimum of 3 years engineering experience- Preferred plastics manufacturing experienceWhat We Offer- Competitive fixed wage- Discretionary bonus (paid annually)- Contributions to company plans for medical, 401k, life insurance- Company dental and vision planYou are looking for new opportunities at a growing high-tech industry leader with a strong focus on continuous employee training?
