WANTED- Maintenance Technician/Painter (Bloomington)

We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician/Painter to undertake in the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, maintenance support, landscaping etc. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.

Full-time/Part-time

Responsibilities:

-Works in turnover and renovation of units, haul-outs as well as responds to maintenance service requests.

-Including but not limited to painting and drywall repair

-Assist in the setup of appliances and assist with repairs when necessary

-Help perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, adjust doors, replace toilets, etc.)

-Assist with kitchen and bathroom renovation and floor replacement

-Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping, trash pickup, dog park cleaning)

Skills and Requirements:

Proven experience in painting, dry-walling/repair and trim

Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems

Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work on call and weekends as needed

Ability to read and interpret service requests and instructions on a computer based system

Ability to demonstrate professional interaction with co-workers, residents and vendors; team-player with a positive attitude

Ability to show up on time everyday and be able to pass a drug screening

Qualifications:

Current driver's license and auto insurance a must.

High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus

At least 3 years experience in painting

1 year experience with general maintenance
