The Cybersecurity Manager provides leadership to bring transformational growth, bold thinking and execution to the combined organization between Bank of the West and CIB divisions. The Cybersecurity Manager will focus on alignment and execution to build exceptional security solutions, incorporating best in breed processes and technologies to deliver a world-class security platform for the Bank’s businesses, clients and users. The Cybersecurity Manager works with technical leads, architecture, operations, compliance and audit teams to identify and coordinate delivery of all security services and looks for opportunities to improve the performance and compliance of security services to deliver enhanced value to the business.Essential Job FunctionsPartners with leaders and management as needed to gain insight into program design
Provides leadership and direction to project teams and/or project managers
Participates in special projects for Division as directed by Division Head, as needed by any other group/departments
Ensure the Program budget is in alignment with core business objectives and key initiatives
Accountable of the network solution deployed
Deployment of critical changes
Insure support to the Production team
Validate the design provided by the Architecture team
Build deployment templates (runbooks) for the production team
Oversite of the rules and configuration policy
Provide an escalation point between the varied departments within Production Security
Perform analysis on incidents to identify potential improvement areas and/or performance deficiencies
Perform Capacity Management overview
Review monitoring framework and ensure sufficient coverage of critical infrastructure
Presenting improvement recommendations to senior management
Perform technical review and approval of Change Management for high risk changes within the department
Assist in the review of staffing needs for upcoming and on-going projects
Monitor practices and processes and drive improvement strategies
Align with the enterprise risk management strategy to communicate risk
Ensure the compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
Ensure the Program budget is in alignment with core business objectives and key initiatives
Support employee development by fostering an entrepreneurial spirit and enabling opportunities for advancement through individual education and training
Interact with Senior Executive Level Management

Align with the enterprise risk management strategy to communicate risk.
Communicate the risk of vulnerabilities in terms of the organization’s environment.
Ensure the Bank’s compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate relevant risk activities (e.g., Audit, Regulatory, risk assessment, control testing, monitoring, vulnerability management, risk reporting) and remediation of identified gaps and issues.
Develop and/or report on metrics to measure success of the Program.
Work with internal security awareness staff and Corporate Communications to identify security new and continued training and awareness needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Experience5-7 years of experience with a minimum on five years in a security related field
1-2 years of leadership or management experience in a technical security role
Natural leader, willing to bring transformational growth, bold thinking and execution to an organization
Broad security knowledge to lead engineering efforts for multiple security solutions
Knowledge of financial services environment as it applies to Production Security
Working knowledge of operating systems, incident response management, security compliance strategies, risk assessment principles, and policies and standards
Knowledge of Agile and other Project Management methodologies
Solid problem solving and analytical skills; must be resourceful, creative, innovative, results driven and adaptable
Deep awareness of all relevant and approved protocols for IT production changes
Proficient in managing the production change process to avoid all associated risk
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, etc.
EducationBachelor's DegreeSkillsExtensive experience with banking security systems. Knowledge of LAN/WAN architectures, firewalls, web proxies, intrusion detection/prevention, web application firewalls, network behavior anomaly detection, network security analytics, advanced malware protection, email security solutions, and data loss prevention.
