Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician (Mobile)

Currently hiring a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician to be based in Mobile, AL with some travel around the southeast region. The ideal candidate will come from a construction or landscaping background since the CMT will work 100% outdoors with some heavy lifting required (50lbs+).

No previous CMT or concrete experience is required, but it is a plus. This position offers on-the-job training with pay raises as you obtain certifications, which the company will help pay for.

The schedule can be hectic and will require 45-55 hours a week with no set start/end time in addition to working Saturdays. Flexibility is a must since the schedule and job site location can change unexpectedly.

Day-to-day will involve driving to the shop to meet with the manager. Load up the truck with the necessary materials and equipment. Drive to the job site to perform testing for concrete and to work with the client and subcontractors to ensure standards are met and inspections are passed. Drive back to the shop at the end of the day to unload the materials and equipment.

After 6 months, the CMT will be able to drive and take home a company truck, so a clean driving record is a must.
