BI Publisher Specialist

Location: Orange, CT Description: Our client is currently seeking a BI Publisher Specialist who will work with the project data and SAP to assure that all information is where it is supposed to be.This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Designs, develops, programs and implements in assigned project utilizing BI Publisher. The developer must be verse in WEB environment and PS/SQL.
• Works with the business analysts and Development Manager to program the specifications.
• Adhere to the existing reporting requirements, migrates existing Excel reports into BI Publisher, and develops new reports and dashboards according to requirements and specifications provided by the reporting team lead.
• Uses ad-hoc queries and debugging tools such as TOAD to investigate data issues in various source systems. Documents project-specific source access mechanisms, detailed data flow and related information to specific targets
• Uses ad-hoc queries and various database tools to create reports and presentations as well as support various data analysis needs.
• Estimates the timeframe to implement the specifications
• Prepares project plan and provides updates to supervisor
• Participates in IEPD (Information Exchange Package Documentation) meetings
• Provides programming as well as support and design documentation
• Elaborates on SDLC and PMO procedures based on industry best practices, PMI recommendations, research and other general experience, and;

• Minimum of 6 years' experience with writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions; available to assist and/or lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions
• Minimum 4 years' experience in developing reports in Oracle's BI Publisher.
• A minimum of 2 years of backend experience with Oracle12c, SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures/Functions.
• High level knowledge of Java/J2EE, Java Script, Java Server Pages, PL/SQL, , web services will be helpful.
• High level knowledge of Core Java, Servlet, JSP, XML, XML Schema, XSLT, JAXB, EJB, JMS, HTML, DHTML, Java Script, JSTI, JAXP, PVCS, Java and J2EE Design Patterns, MVC, Spring, Ajax.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the design, development, programming and implementation of IT applications utilizing relational databases.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Toad or similar tool.
• Experience in creation of design documents.
