Boeing Phantom Works has an immediate need for associate Subsystem Component Engineers seeking advanced and challenging work. Successful candidates will participate in the design and development of fluid/mechanical system components (such as Fuel, Hydraulic, Rotating Equipment or Environmental Control Systems) and coordinate product requirements for Integrated Product Teams, engineering functions, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. This position is located in Berkeley MO.Position Responsibilities:
- Assists in preparing technical documents and specifications for fluid/mechanical components and systems.
- Assists in management of component procurements thru the design, fabrication and qualification phases
- Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
- Assists in the review and approval of Supplier data
- Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts.
- Supports the development, analysis, release, procurement, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide documentation and requirements to downstream users/customers
- Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an ABET accredited program.
- Experience working with aircraft fluid/mechanical system components
- Excellent verbal and written skills with ability to communicate task progress and challenges with suppliers and with management
- 2+ years of experience working with aircraft fluid/mechanical system components
- Should have the ability to multi-task and work in a multi-discipline team environment
- The ability to develop solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation is necessary
