You'll be working with a world class team of engineers, designers, product managers, and analysts to create great products that make a difference on one of the world's most trafficked and loved websites. Our technology stack includes Node.js front end app, Java/Scala based back-end with native iOS and Android applications.As a core participant of your team, you'll estimate engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and triage production issues. You need to be dynamic, collaborative, and curious as we build new experiences, improve existing products, and develop features that enable nonprofits to benefit from the eBay commerce platform. You are -Insightful, able to evaluate user needs and desires, and translate those into viable designs and products, able to aggregate information from various places and establish relationships with key stakeholders to get the information you need. You are tech savvy, and continue to expand your systems knowledge through formal or informal research and training. You are a go-getter, taking on new opportunities and don't shy away from challenges. You bring energy and enthusiasm to the office every day.The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of backend development experience working with high velocity teams.   • Exceptional programming skills in Java, Scala, Java Script
  • Experience working with Spring, Node.js, CSS3 & HTML
  • Experience building and consuming horizontally scalable RESTful API's
  • High focus on building scalable, reliable and high quality applications
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Flink, and Kafka is a plus
  • Experience with scrum or other agile software development methodology
  • A constant desire to improve and learn
  • Ability to write reusable and maintainable code
  • Self-driven and ability to get things done
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years (or) a MS in Computer Science and 5+ years of software design and relevant experience
