The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential to your success at Federal-Mogul. This position will report directly to the Plant Purchasing Supervisor.We are looking for outstanding communication skills—interpersonal, speaking, writing and listening. An ideal candidate is someone who has experience working in a Purchasing department within the manufacturing industry.We are ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You’ll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition andJob overview:Analyzes and plans material requirements by determining thequantity and date materials are needed to ensure optimal inventory levels.Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities toensure production and quality of products meet specifications. May do somelimited purchasing activity for their facility.Essential Duties andResponsibilities:Reviews requisitions, confers with vendors toobtain product or service information such as, availability, and deliveryschedule.Selects products for purchase by testing,observing, or examining items. Estimatesvalues according to knowledge of market price.Determines method of procurement such as directpurchase or bid.Maintains procurement records such as items orservices purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, andinventories.Discusses defective or unacceptable goods orservices with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, andothers to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.Reviews and approves invoices for payment.Expedites delivery of goods to users.Schedules, supplies, and manages material forprocessing.Loads, maintains, and reviews RPS System.Negotiates and develops cost savings.Writes and maintains procedures.May be given certain authority within job scopeby ManagerEach employee has the authority to initiateaction to prevent a violation of the Federal-Mogul Integrity Policy.All employees will abide by the plant’s safetypolicy, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controlsestablished, work toward achieving established objectives and targets, andconform to procedures consistent with the ISO 14001 standard. REQUIREMENTS:
