The Performance Materials segment is a leading supplier of bentonite and bentonite-related products, as well as chromite and leonardite, to industrial and consumer markets globally. Products offered by the Performance Materials segment include specially formulated green sand bond solutions for metalcasting, additives for powdered laundry detergent formulation, and pet litter. This segment operates more than 25 mining or production facilities worldwide. The Performance Materials segment also provides products for non-residential construction, environmental and infrastructure projects worldwide. It serves customers engaged in a broad range of construction projects, including site remediation, concrete waterproofing for underground structures, liquid containment on projects ranging from landfills to flood control, and drilling applications including foundation, slurry wall, tunneling, water well and horizontal drilling.

MTI Business Segment: Performance Materials

Position: Bulk Loader

Location: USA | Colony, WY,

This is considered a safety sensitive position therefore will be subject to random drug testing as required.

Job Summary

American Colloid Company a division of Minerals Technologies is one of the world’s leading producers of bentonite clay. Bentonite’s unique chemical structure gives it a diverse range of capabilities, enabling it to act as a thickener, sealant, binder, lubricant or absorption agent. The Company’s principle markets include metal castings, pet products, oil and gas well drilling, industrial specialties and agriculture. ACC currently has an opening for a Bulk Loader in its Colony, WY facility.

Bulk Loader position requires individual to be safety minded and strive to be an example in areas of safety, 5S and quality. Operators load material from the plant as well as moving and placing railcars in the plant in a safe and efficient manner. Operator is also responsible for loading the correct product from the silos and performing quality checks along the way before sealing the car for shipping.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Position Railcars for loading
• Load Railcars with product
• Obtain Quality checks while loading
• Seal railcars for shipping
• Position railcars down the tracks for Railroad to pull

Education: High School Graduate or GED required
