Find your future with us.BGS's Distribution Services Business Development organization is currently seeking a Business Development Lead (Level 5) to join our Strategic Growth & Analytics team.Distribution Services Business Development (BD) strives to be the growth engine that identifies and unlocks new opportunities to create long-term value for Boeing and our customers. The BD group has two primary roles: first, to identify, prioritize, develop, and execute new product and services opportunities that drive profitable growth for the Distribution Services business; and second, to build a platform agnostic Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence Center of Excellence that enables informed and value-add decision-making.This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options: Renton, WA; Auburn, WA; Bellevue, WA; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas, TX; El Segundo, CA; Englewood, CO; Everett, WA; Herndon, VA; Huntington Beach, CA; Huntsville, AL; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; Miami, FL; North Charleston, SC; Oklahoma City, OK; Plano, TX; Ridley Park, PA; Saint Louis, MO; San Antonio, TX; Seal Beach, CA; Seattle, WA.Position Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate strategic growth opportunities to define and optimize the Distribution Services product and services portfolio through comprehensive and multi-faceted analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market trends, new technologies, customer business issues, and the competitive environment
  • Apply broad knowledge of product capabilities and service offerings with in-depth analysis of market position to create and expand Distribution Services' portfolio of products and solution alternatives
  • Engage with customers and suppliers to drive growth and development opportunities, identify common value drivers, and strengthen relationships
  • Work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment to generate, mature, and validate new ideas and concepts
  • Use technical expertise and industry experience to formulate and identify new growth opportunities that address customer needs and/or expand market share
  • Contribute to, consult on, and evaluate complex market forecasts, competitive assessments, and ad hoc analyses
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes , lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher
  • 5+ years of experience conducting market, product, and/or competitive analysis, and/or business modeling
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or proposal development
  • 3+ years in corporate development, strategy, or similar strategic growth focused role
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience developing and delivering business cases, strategic rationalization, and investment proposals.
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace industry
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace Supply Chain, Production, and/or Aftermarket
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
Typical Education & Experience:
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
