Position Summary Under the leadership of the Vice President of Student Affairs and in accordance with the mission of Central Wyoming College, the director of admissions develops, directs, and implements effective student recruiting strategies, coordinates the college admissions programs to achieve established enrollment goals, organizes student onboarding, and manages the student experience from a prospect into their first semester.Essential Duties and Responsibilities In collaboration with academic affairs and the marketing and public relations office, develop and execute a comprehensive strategic and operational recruitment plan designed to address short and long-range enrollment goals of the College.

Develop the program outcomes for the admissions office, monitor assessment of those outcomes, and develop plans of action for improvement, including modifying practices and making appropriate changes to strategies, based on the assessment of those outcomes.

Identify and recruit prospective students. Maintain and monitor prospective student list for the College and provide monthly enrollment funnel reporting.

Oversee student recruitment efforts, including high school visits, college fairs, community events, and special programs. Represents the College at Wyoming High Schools through periodic visits, attends Wyoming Admissions Officer tours and meetings, and ensures representation at other college fairs and events designed for college recruiting.

Manage the admissions application system (CRM). This includes: installing package updates, installing security updates, troubleshoot system issues, design/code elements, implement changes to the system, create/maintain reports, perform mass mailing/emailing, manage the Events Rx visit module, manage the Formbuilder application, campaign design, text messaging API, and monitor the system/partner with IT for system enhancements and integrations.

Assist faculty and staff with specialized recruitment efforts for academic programs and activities.

Advise prospective students regarding the college’s admissions, scholarships, financial aid, housing, and assessment procedures.

Manage the recruitment of international students including sharing relevant information with students and their representatives, and coordinating paperwork and other requirements for studying in the U.S. in collaboration with the international student advisor.

Ensure prospective students, families, guidance professionals, staff, faculty and the community receive thorough, responsive and high quality service.

Oversee all admissions workflow processes and interface with related departments for an optimized student enrollment experience. Improve processes, ensuring that the admissions office is operating at optimal levels, playing a role in producing high-quality graduates.

Find innovative solutions to recruit and retain students through effective admissions and advising practices and systems.

Seek and nurture collaborative partnerships with internal and external audiences, including other divisions of the college, parents, alumni, and secondary school leaders.

Manage the admissions and recruiting operating budget.

Direct and supervise admissions staff.

Direct the admission processes and reviews exceptional admission cases. Assists with the coordination of the student complaint and appeal procedures relating to admissions for the College and makes recommendations to the Vice President for Student Affairs.

Remain current with enrollment management practices, best practice recruitment communication technologies, and rules and regulations governing recruitment and admissions, including international students.

Monitor and supervise correspondence to prospective and accepted students from the admissions office. Verify and notify students of admissions and academic eligibility.

Organize and monitor student campus visits and tours, ensuring a great experience for all students, parents and guests.

Manage the admissions office web site, ensuring current, accurate information is available to prospective students.

Assist in planning and implementing new student orientation.

Operate within the guidelines set forth in the college’s policies, procedures and practices.

Perform other reasonably related duties as directed or assigned.

Position Specifications

Minimum QualificationsEducation

Bachelor’s degree in related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education

Experience

Five years of experience in recruitment, admissions, enrollment management in a higher education setting with at least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience.

Desired QualificationsMaster’s degree in related field

Environmental Conditions

Work is performed in part in an office setting and in part traveling for recruitment of students both in Wyoming and out of state travel is required; evening and/or weekend work may also be required.
