POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist and educate Sales consultants on additional revenue opportunities for the dealership by selling finance and insurance programs and other appropriate after-sale items to new- and used-vehicle customers.

  • The individual must also have a valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured under Fremont’s insurance plan.
  • Sales experience.
  • Understanding of the automotive industry.
  • Enterprising individual who can start and carry out projects.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, planning and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for purchasing, reconditioning, and distributing vehicles to obtain the best value and sale.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned
  • Provides customers with thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties.
  • Converts cash deals to finance.
  • Processes all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transaction.
  • Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new- and used-vehicle and finance departments.
  • Checks all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, etc., before forwarding to accounting.
  • Acquires and maintains current state insurance license, completing continuing credit insurance education as needed.
  • Provides customers with complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.
  • Maintains insurance files.
  • Provides sales force and sales managers with current information about finance and lease programs continually.
  • Trains the sales staff regarding the benefits of financing, insurance and extended service programs.
  • Works with sales managers to secure a reasonable profit from every sale.
  • Works closely with general sales manager to establish sales department goals and objectives and ensures that they are achieved.
  • Develops and monitors guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Maintains a clean and professional work environment.
  • Support the Sales team by creating, printing, and executing finance paperwork
  • Interact with customers to obtain signatures on finance documentation and explain paperwork, verbiage and commitments
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by answering questions about the finance paperwork and asking the customer to complete the Toyota customer satisfaction survey
  • Review contracts to ensure accuracy
  • Become an expert in banking programs and WY state paperwork and guidelines
  • Support the leadership team by correcting funding issues and assisting in customer product retention
  • Contribute to and maintain reporting and communication duties so the entire sales team is aware of current performance and outstanding items needed
  • Support business office staff with filing, scanning and other data processing duties as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work location is indoors and outdoors. Moving vehicles around the lot will be required at times. Noise ranges from moderate level to periods of exposure to high noise levels from equipment and vehicles being started and moved.
