Canvassers Needed - Collect Signature for Cannabis Project in Camas (Camas - START IMMEDIATELY)

We are a newly formed Political group looking to hire upbeat, driven and professional individuals to work as door to door canvassers. The Camas for Cannabis Access Political Action Committee is focused on bringing Cannabis access to the City of Camas. Since 2014, the City of Camas has banned all 502 retail locations within City limits, and we would like to change that! We believe that the residents of Camas should have access to legal cannabis and have gone to great lengths to secure a petition to be brought forward to the voters of Camas.

General Job Description

· Door to Door Canvassing within the City Limits of Camas with other team members

· Educating registered voters about our cause

· Practicing safe social-distanced interactions with attention to detail

· Facilitate the enrollment of unregistered voters

· Attending various pre-determined events to gain signatures

· Signature gathering at local public points

· Attending mandatory training sessions

Qualifications & Experience

This is what we are looking for but are not required for hire.

· Legal Cannabis Industry knowledge and/or work experience a plus

· Medical Cannabis experience or knowledge

· Canvassing experience or door to door sales experience

· Clean, professional appearance

· Any type of political involvement at any level

· Must be able to have reliable transportation to and from meeting points

· A working SmartPhone with data service is a plus

· Must be 21+ yrs or older

· Must be able to walk up to 5 miles a day

Pay/Hours/Starting date

· Starts on or near Jun 18th , 2020 and will commence July 20th, 2020

· $13.50/hr base fee paid as a 1099 temporary contractor position

· $1.50 bonus per registered voter signature

· $1.00 extra bonus per total signature if you participate every week, and we reach the goal

· All materials needed for petition will be provided, including but not limited to Petition Boards, Shirts, identification badges and educational materials
