  • The ideal candidate for our Principal Engineer is a creative individual who has the ability and the experience to lead multiple projects which present diverse technical challenges.
  • Design and development efforts will support revenue growth and regulatory compliance for safety engineered needles & syringes, cardiothoracic products, fluid management products and medication delivery products for neonates. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Providing technical leadership for medium scale projects.
  • Serving as the liaison between the R&D Functional Manager and Extended Team Members.
  • Effective and timely prioritization and day to day tactical guidance & technical direction to team members within the R&D function.
  • Identify and resolve short and long term resource constraints.
  • Creative Problem Solving - identify technical risks up front and develop and execute mitigation plans and provide team with direction on how to remove or avoid roadblocks.
  • Building strong relationships with Marketing partners to understand product application, market dynamics, current strengths and future opportunities.
  • Providing effective technical day to day support for product lines under scope of responsibility.
Skills:
  • Minimum of 8 years of related professional work experience
  • Technical Leadership experience with a proven track record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Medical Device Design Controls Organized problem solving, decision making, and presentation skills DFSS certification & statistical savvy is a plus
  • Experience with plastic design principles & CAD (Solidworks) is a plus
  • Experience in Manufacturing and Automation is a plus
Education:
  • BS in Mechanical, Plastics, or Biomedical Engineering, MS preferred
