Position Summary

The HR Manager is responsible for developing, contributing to, and supporting the organization’s mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and objectives; formulating policies; guiding and leading the change process; evaluating HR’s contributions to organizational effectiveness and evaluating programs, plans, and policies which provide a safe and secure working environment and protect the organization from liability.

Essential Functions

  • Accountable for developing, implementing, and evaluating sourcing, recruitment, hiring, orientation, succession planning, retention, and organizational exit programs necessary to ensure the workforce’s ability to achieve the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Accountable for analyzing, developing, implementing/administering, and evaluating the workplace relationship between employer and employee, in order to maintain relationships and working conditions that balance employer and employee needs and rights in support of the organization’s strategic goals, objectives and values
  • Oversee development, implementing, and evaluating activities and programs that address employee training and development, performance appraisal, talent and performance management, and the unique needs of employees, to ensure that the knowledge, skills, abilities, and performance of the workforce meet current and future organizational and individual needs
  • Responsible for developing/selecting, implementing/administering, and evaluating compensation and benefits programs for all employee groups that support the organization’s strategic goals, objectives, and values, and all Corporate HR programs
  • Responsible for managing Human Resource meeting the needs of the mine and organization —managers, coordinators, staff and technicians
  • Provide coaching and counseling assistance to employees on Human Resource related issues
  • Aid in the development of a culture conducive to open, honest, productive work environment
  • Work w/senior management staff in the spirit of teamwork and collaboration
  • Develop departmental staff and create the environment for their professional growth.
  • Provide resources to other departments to help achieve budget metrics and goals
  • Educate and ensure compliance with State and Federal laws related to Human Resources
  • Analyze, prepare and distribute and/or communicate information to various levels of the organization on employment law and labor relations updates
  • Serve on the Coalition Health Center LLC supporting the interests of ESM.
