Construction Crew Leader - Paint of WNY (Western NY)

Construction Crew Leader Addendum:

-Successfully manage and execute construction projects from planning to completion

-Expected project types: Residential Rehabilitation, Residential Remodel, Carpentry & Repair Projects, other projects as required by management.

-Complete projects for internal and external clients with a high degree of skill and professionalism

-Work with Project Manager/Owner to plan projects including layout, design, budget and timeline.

-Manage and complete ongoing carpentry projects as required by Paint of WNY

-Price & order materials responsibly, seek mgmt. approval for non-routine purchases that impact design or budget.

-Solicit bids from, hire and coordinate subcontractors with mgmt. approval

-Whenever practical & efficient use PWNY labor to complete work tasks.

-Keep accurate records of purchases, track budget progress and submit complete and intact receipts to accounting in a timely fashion.

-Monitor timesheets for self and PWNY staff including accurate punch in/out and job names. Keep running total of hours worked on project, be aware of & control Labor costs.

-The Construction Crew Leader is a working, on site, position. To the extent practical the Construction Crew Leader is to remain on site. Offsite duties such as shopping & picking up materials should be carried out efficiently and/or delegated to apprentices/suppliers to maximize on site time.

-Self educate to improve knowledge and skill in areas that would be beneficial to successful project outcomes.

-Seek out & take advantage of educational and developmental opportunities offered by PWNY and third parties.

-Create & implement systems to make repeatable work tasks more efficient

-Seek out opportunities for improvement of work efficiency and quality

-Learn about new or alternative products and solutions to challenging problems and everyday tasks

-Cultivate awareness of design trends, popular products & finishes.

-Collaborate with Management to take on additional responsibilities and decision making over time.
