The Washington, D.C. office of a leading international law firm is seeking an IT & Facilities Assistant to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates to start a career in the legal industry. Candidates will be responsible for supporting end-users in the DC office as well as assisting the Facilities department.

This position does require candidates to work fully on-site and does not offer hybrid opportunities at this time.

IT Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and configuring end-user desktops, stations, and phones by installing, updating, and diagnosing all hardware equipment ensuring proper functionality.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment including hard drives, fans, keyboards and replacing if needed.
  • Handling helpdesk tickets to ensure tickets are closed in a timely manor.
  • Applying firm specific guidelines and procedures to ensure system compliance.
  • Troubleshooting system issues to provide resolutions within a timely manner.

Facilities Responsibilities:
  • Setting up conference rooms with equipment and breaking them down after meetings.
  • Preparing AV equipment for client meetings and events in the firm.
  • Handling inbound and outbound mail while distributing accordingly.
  • Managing inventory of equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of IT Helpdesk experience.
  • Prior experience in imaging, networking, Windows 10, Lenovo and Dell equipment, and mobile device support.
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities.
  • Must have the desire to work in a fast-paced, and high-volume environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
