Job DescriptionThe Georgia Tech Research Institute is seeking senior research engineers or scientists with expertise in the areas of communications, networking and data-links. Candidates will support SEAL's Command and Control Communication Program Office (C3PO) in the analysis and technology assessment of C2 platforms and support teams designing, analyzing and implementing alternative hardware and software technologies to update these platforms. Candidates should have strong problem solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex technical and managerial problems.In addition to performing applied research, candidates are expected to manage research efforts and support business development activities. Business development includes the identification of research topics, conceptualization and formulation of research efforts, interaction with potential sponsors, and writing white papers and proposals. Candidates will be expected to direct research in a team setting and manage resources and budgets. Researchers are expected to be able to work independently as well as in teams.
