The Public Sector team engages with our customers of all sizes to support their missions and help them empower citizens and societies.About the Role:We are looking for a Global Policy Lead to join the Global Market Development team in their mission to identify and shape the future landscape for the WWPS business. The Global Policy Lead will help advance and advocate for Microsoft’s position on technology adoption for Governments around the world. You will identify and track the key technology policy trends globally and bring together the v-team across Microsoft to ensure the right teams are engaged. A successful candidate will have experience working across multiple groups and stakeholders- both at corporate and in the markets- and will be an effective leader of multi-functional v-teams. If this is you, apply today!ResponsibilitiesWhat you will be doing :

Build regulatory and policy heatmaps: Develop a unified view of the policy landscape across the WWPS geographies with support from the v-team. Analyze and assess potential policy and regulatory blockers and ensure that these are tracked and remediated through working across the v-team and stakeholders in corporate and the field

Establish and run the rhythm : Work across the corporate stakeholders including CELA, Government Affairs, Engineering, and other teams to set and follow RoB and ensure regular status updates to stakeholders

Support and coach field teams: Act as the corporate WWPS point of contact on Policy and Regulatory priorities for the field stakeholders such as the National Technology Officer, Public Sector Leads, and other groups. Ensure regular communication and updates to the field stakeholders. Provide content and materials to support the field teams

QualificationsWhat we are looking for :

Minimum 7+ years public policy and/or government affairs experience

Proven track record of shaping technology policy at the national or state level; experience outside of US preferred

Strong skills in advocacy with exceptional presentation and written skills

Track record of effectively communicating complex information to a wide variety of audiences

Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams across multiple organizational boundaries

Executive presence with ability to influence at senior levels across Microsoft and Government Officials

Bachelor’s degree required
