CSA (Compliance Service of America) is a consulting firm specializing in alcohol regulatory compliance. We are looking for a compliance assistant to join our team. Maybe you’re the one, or you know someone who fits our needs. The position starts in July 2022.

Office and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, keeping files organized, an understanding of email use and organization, and the ability to communicate in a professional manner are essential. Experience in a professional office environment (insurance, accounting, law, fulfillment, or other regulated industry) is required. Knowledge of alcohol compliance is a plus, but not required; we will provide training.

If you can learn quickly, work efficiently, and like to communicate accurately and in a good spirit, this position may be for you.

Here are the basic responsibilities of a compliance assistant:

prepare and file applications under guidance and supervision of a compliance consultant

refer to documentation on file and research references to confirm requirements

communicate with clients and regulatory agencies

enter and maintain records

update databases

The position involves learning and following protocols, tracking time, doing whatever is needed, and staying organized.

Here are some questions to help determine if you are a good fit for this job:

Are you comfortable with government regulations?

Do you enjoy working closely with others in a friendly, energetic environment? Our work style is unusually cooperative; we pass work around and support each other’s accomplishments all day long.

Do you take pride in making sure all the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed? Some people may be irritated by that, but we appreciate it. Our work requires precision! The work we do is technical and very detail-oriented. Mistakes cost lots of time to fix, so we check, double-check, proofread, and check again. We follow up often, knowing that we’re not bothering people but helping the process along.

Do you like problem solving and working with others to meet a deadline or achieve a goal? We take our client’s dreams seriously, and each do our part to make them come true.

We’re here to make alcohol compliance understandable to our clients because their businesses depend on knowing the requirements. We prepare and file license applications and renewals, explain the laws and regulations, and help our clients make informed decisions and plans. We care about the success of our clients. We enjoy connecting humanly with both our clients and regulators. With time, dedication and willingness to learn, you will acquire the expertise to make a valuable contribution.

This is an in-office position, and our office is in a peaceful rural environment. We are located in Coos County Oregon, 20 minutes from Bandon and Coquille, and 40 minutes from Coos Bay. The rural setting is an asset, but it also means a commute. In order to work here, you must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Due to the current situation, you will need to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

The starting salary will be $3,000 to $3,500/month depending on level of experience. What you’ll also get is an opportunity to work in an environment where people count, your work is appreciated, and your co-workers care about your input and how you feel. We offer health insurance after a 60 day trial period. And the cherry on top is: We have really great coffee!

To apply for this position, send an e-mail to Dyana Nedra at dn@csa-compliance.com, along with your resume, references, and a letter about how you relate to this opportunity.
