A boutique law firm located in Arlington is seeking a paralegal to join the team. This position will assist an attorney with cases related to bankruptcy law, family law, guardianships, and real property. Hours include Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Occasionally, work hours may include late evenings for trial preparation. Compensation is dependent on experience.

We are seeking a motivated self-starter with good work ethic and commitment to helping our clients. The right candidate is looking to make a long-term commitment.

Experience or Education Required:

Requires a minimum of 2 consecutive years of paralegal experience or an Associate of Technical Arts in Paralegal Studies and 1 consecutive year of experience.

General Skills Required:

Thorough knowledge of all phases of litigation, discovery, and trial procedures. Demonstrated skills in document /information management. Ability to express self effectively, both orally and in writing. Possesses strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Possesses the ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks and concurrent deadlines. An applicant must be proficient with Microsoft Office.

Additional Skills:

Experience with FamilySoft or CINcompass a plus. Bilingual in Spanish.

Job Responsibilities:

Keep track of case/matter deadlines.

Draft and revise legal documents and correspondence. Documents include complaints/petitions, motions, orders, responsive pleadings, and supporting documents.

Coordinate filing of legal documents electronically or by process server.

Coordinate service of process and/or filings with public entities in King County, Snohomish County, Skagit County, and Whatcom County.

Review, organize, and draft declarations, interrogatories, reports, witness statements, and depositions.

Review, organize and coordinate agreements and remittances.

Prepare case/matter and attorney files and notebooks.

Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, and documents.

Perform computer database input and retrieval.

Conduct factual and legal research and analysis.

Communicate with clients via Telephone and email.
