Here you'll find support to develop, united in a clear and common purpose with a diverse team.About the RoleThe Identity Access Management department is currently seeking candidates for a Business Analyst position in support of the IAM product portfolio. This position partners across the Federal Reserve System in a liaison role between various stakeholders, including subject matter experts, executives, operational users, and technical staff to drive organized, effective, and innovative requirements in order to build and improve products, supporting marketing and adoption. Provides input on product backlogs and assists leadership and Product Owners in making informed decisions on priorities and features in current and future sprints/releases. Partners with Product Owners as needed to assist in Agile practices and collaborates with user experience, development, and QA teams throughout the product lifecycle. Works to create documentation of workflows, use cases and sequence diagrams tied to requirements. Helps ensure the product team, inclusive of various dependent resources, understands the requirements and how they connect to the overall roadmap.Key Activities Include:

  • Analyzes business problems and/or proposed enhancements to technology solutions.
  • Identifies, reconciles, and resolves conflicting perspectives of various stakeholders and impacts to technology solutions.
  • Works with Product Owners, stakeholders (internal and external), and technical staff to establish and/or identify the product's business value, vision, and scope.
  • Partners with technical staff by responding to questions regarding requirements, functionality, and data to determine and clarify business value of appropriate technology solutions.
  • Analyzes, develops, and documents functional and non-functional requirements for technology solutions according to SAFe practices.
  • Ensures business needs are well understood, clearly defined, and properly aligned with overall product vision. Provides input on approach, elicits requirements using various practices and techniques.
  • Identifies gaps or underlying issues through analysis of the business problem and associated requirements to ensure identification of risks and customer impact.
  • Based on agile principles, selects, creates, and maintains appropriate artifacts related to use cases, user stories, functionality issues.
  • May compile metrics and reports on progress of requirements development to the project team.
  • Oversee and write customer-facing communications related to releases and training.
  • Building an intermediate understanding of the Federal Reserve information security policy, risk management, and industry best practices as they relate to work.

Qualifications:
  • Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's degree specializing in computer science, information technology, project management, business administration, or closely related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
  • Intermediate understanding of FRS compliance regulations, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and customer service skills.
  • Agile experience preferred.
