Company Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas CityWe are seeking talented cybersecurity professionals to join our Information Security Compliance team. In this role you will coordinate, lead, manage, and execute security control assessments for Federal Reserve information systems and infrastructure, including on-premise and Cloud systems. These engagements are executed to meet information security needs of clients, work teams and internal or external organization management groups. You will collaborate and/or coordinate with cross functional teams and will seek to continually improve security control engagement processes and procedures.Key Activities:
- Provides consulting services to clients to evaluate, recommend, design, and implement information security solutions and process improvements in areas related to information security.
- Identifies client requirements by establishing personal rapport with all clients and internal/external resources to understand business and information security requirements.
- Develops knowledge of supported client areas and builds relationships by assessing, evaluating, and fully understanding the needs and requirements of clients.
- Reviews data and assists in advising clients on best practices and how to implement the necessary changes to address their business and information security needs.
- Provides strategic support to clients and leaders in moderate situations. Leads process improvement and long-term information security solution discussions and presents outcomes in written and verbal format to senior management.
- Key participant in project development surrounding new processes and the integrating of new processes with existing ones. Assists in developing communications of these changes to impacted clients and other resources.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High school education or GED. Associate's degree specializing in an information technology field from an accredited college or university or technical school, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience preferred.
- Typically requires at ;east 3 years of relevant IT experience.
- Experience leading or assisting with cyber security risk assessments or cyber security related initiatives/projects.
- Experience with risk-based control assessment methodologies.
- Experience developing assessment reports that effectively and concisely communicate results and risks to a variety of stakeholders.
- Industry recognized security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, AWS Security and others are preferred.
- Familiarity with FISMA, FedRAMP, and other NIST 800 publications.
- Familiarity with threat modeling techniques and methodologies.
- Broad understanding of the Federal Reserve System businesses and business goals.
- Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of the Federal Reserve's IT and support organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and to work in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), organizational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent consultative skills and the proven ability to work effectively with business partners, internal management and staff, vendors, and consultants.
- Proven ability to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical, business partners.
- The advisor is responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making and contributing to their function's risk management.
- Works under direction; follows established methods and policy. Makes decisions when general instructions or established methods indicate an action to be taken.
