As a Business Navigator every day is a chance to serve as a connection point to a system that is often challenging to navigate. You will be charged with developing and implementing comprehensive strategies for performing the duties associated with WIOA and other contracts in support of the community’s shared economic and workforce development goals.

ABOUT THE JOB

The major responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Apply knowledge of business operations to establish employer relationships leading to utilization of program services

Utilize active listening, analytical and presentation skills to identify employer needs and develop plans to meet those needs

Understand employer staffing needs, job vacancy costs and turnover costs to ensure successful job seeker placement and retention

Engage job seekers and businesses in a coordinated effort to place job seekers in self-supporting employment

Engage and develop relationships with partners to develop recruiting and service delivery plans

Gather data, analyze, and report on program success, including adjusting goals and strategies as appropriate

Maintain employer satisfaction by implementing follow-up plans and meeting or exceeding all commitments within the agreed to timeframe

EXPERIENCE/POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required

A Bachelors Degree in: Business Administration, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, or a related field. Direct experience may be substituted for the education requirement.

Requires use of: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, LinkedIn, and other business-related networking applications, as appropriate.

Must be able to work in a culturally diverse and fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity and cultural competency.

Preferred

A Masters Degree in: Business Administration, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, or a related field.

Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP).

Six-Sigma Green Belt or higher.

Demonstrated success at consultative, business to business sales and one-year of job development experience with public or private employers preferred.

Prefer expertise in using Social Media tools for recruiting and communicating.

Use of CRM software or territory management program.

Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
