Construction/Service Technician

Minnesota Petroleum Service, a family owned business, has an immediate opening for a full-time Construction/Mechanical Laborer based out of the Brainerd/Baxter Area. We are looking for the right individual to become a part of our growing team. Our ideal candidate will be looking for a long-term opportunity, and the chance to grow within the organization. This is a full-time position. Starting wage will be based on accreditations and experience.

Functions:

Perform highly diversified duties to install, repair, and maintain petroleum equipment and other related devices.

Execute mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.

Complete service requests and maintenance repair items in a timely manner and ensures all requests are handled in a professional manner.

Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures according to applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations and requirements.

Troubleshoot various types of equipment, able to make repairs as needed.

Utilize various testing devices, multiple hand and power tools related to the job. Maintain tools and equipment to ensure all are in proper and safe working order.

Any other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.

Core Competencies:

Experience with electrical controls and electronic wiring

Experience with computer tasks such as software installation, installing

hard drives, networks, routers, printers and other components.

Mechanical Aptitude

Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

Must be able to pass a DOT physical.

Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs.

Will maintain a valid Driver’s License as well as a clean driving record.

High School Diploma or equivalent

This position requires random drug testing.
