TheDigital Hardware & FPGA Design Engineerwill report to the Receiver Exciter and Signal Processing (RESP) Department, supporting the Multi-Function RF System (MFRFS) product line located in McKinney, Texas.Job Summary:TheDigital Hardware & FPGA Design Engineerjob responsibilities include deriving unit and module level requirements from system level requirements, developing associated architectures, implementing design, performing analysis and testing of the FPGA, module, and/or unit in a laboratory setting. He/she will be familiar with latest technology trends in the area of microprocessor, memory, FPGA and interface protocols. TheDigital Hardware & FPGA Design Engineermust be experienced in all aspects of circuit card and FPGA design from concept through delivery to higher-level assemblies as evidenced by multiple successful design completions (including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry standard interfaces). The role ofDigital Hardware & FPGA Design Engineerrequires cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, electrical, systems, and embedded software engineering teams.This position will require the ability to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Required Skills:8+ years applicable experience requiredStrong technical background in board design & FPGA designExperience creating circuit card schematics that contain microprocessors, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR and flash memoriesExperience developing block diagrams, parts lists, and design review packages for complex electronicsExperience in digital design and VHDL or Verilog code development, simulation, and place & routeAbility to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearanceThis position will require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
