Our modern, fully digital practice provides full-service dentistry to our patients. We are looking for a caring dental hygienist with strong interpersonal skills to join our dental team. We believe the co-discovery between hygienist and patient and co-diagnosis between the hygienist and doctor is key to patients understanding their problems, the consequences of inaction, and the available treatment solutions provided by the office.
A Mason Dental Hygienist:
· Builds relationships with patients and team members
· Is compassionate and gentle whenever possible
· Is mindful of patient’s time - is punctual and provides care in an effective manner
· Creates a ‘WOW’ experience and welcoming service environment for patients
· Completes patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure
· Utilizes digital x-rays and intraoral photos for record keeping to convey the health status of the patient.
· Treatment plans and completes child and adult prophylaxes, non-surgical periodontal therapies, applies fluoride, delivers antimicrobial agents such as Arestin
· Teaches patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
· Counsels patients about the oral-systemic connection
· Takes ownership of scheduling patient's continuing care visits
· Communicates effectively with front office team members for operative treatment to be scheduled
· Fulfills other duties as assigned
Mason Dental Hygienist Requirements:

· Associate or advanced degree in Dental Hygiene
· State certification/license as required to work as a Dental Hygienist
· Experience is preferred but new graduates welcome to apply
