Responsibilities and Job Description

The Sugar Drop Baker represents the creative aspect of our business through an edible experience. The baker must provide the best impression of our establishment through quality and consistent baked goods to ensure that the customer knows what to expect with each Sugar Drop baked item, every time. Our baked goods are an edible extension of our overall environment; therefore, our baker must be able to reproduce results that meet the high standards of the ownership and clientele. The baker must have a results-driven, positive attitude and enjoy working in a creative and fast past environment. The baker must be able to communicate clearly, work with fellow staff members as well as consult with customers to help answer any questions regarding bakery products, supplies, and techniques, while completing their daily tasks.

Sugar Drop

Sugar Drop has been a Brentwood business for over 50 years but was reinvented in 2017 after a new purchase. After a complete overhaul on the brand and culture, Sugar Drop has now become a destination for the ultimate sugar high. From exceptional classes and events, to scratch made family favorites in the bakery to a visual shopping experience reminiscent of a scene from Willy Wonka, Sugar Drop's desire is for all customers, regardless of ages or gender to feel welcomed and leave feeling like a kid in a candy store.

Detail oriented

Proficient in the operations and guidelines of a working commercial kitchen according to the Tennessee Health Department

Able to consistently execute quality products in a timely and efficient manner.

Maintain clean working environment during their shift and prior to clocking out.

Clear understanding of daily tasks and goals

Communication skills

Baker Qualifications

You have:

Culinary experience

5 years home baking or 2 years commercial baking experience

High School Diploma or equivalent
