The Master Plumber has earned state licensure as a plumber whose skills, experience and expertise exceeds that of a journeyman plumber.
The Master Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures. Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and Colorado and Local code compliance. The Master Plumber is the primary interface with Production Manager, MEP Lead, Quality Assurance Manager, Procurement Manager and HR on all issues related to the Stage. The Master Plumber reports to the MEP Lead and Production Manager.
The Location
We are located in downtown Pueblo in a 100,000 sq ft factory operation. Pueblo is located in Southern Colorado, roughly 100 miles south of Colorado’s capital, Denver.
General Responsibilities
Foster and maintain a safe and clean work environment
Establish compliance with Health & Safety regulations, the indieDwell teammate Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards
Reads blueprints and other specifications to determine method of installation, work procedures, material and tool requirements
Documentation of work and material flow through MEP Stage
Ensure stage tools and equipment are safe and operational
Reads blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
Cutting, assembling and installing pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
Installing and maintaining water supply systems
Performs self-directed team QC checklist
Collaborate and communicate with other Stage Leads to improve processes, efficiencies and flow of work operations and develop a cohesive team
Performs other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
5+ years of Plumbing installation experience and of verified practical work experience
Master Plumbing License in CO
Expert Level knowledge of Local and Colorado Codes
Ability to perform as lead installer on multiple projects simultaneously
Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances
Knowledgeable of materials and installation, maintenance and alteration of new construction plumbing systems including venting, water distribution, plumbing fixtures and traps.
Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
