Summary

The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of general computer hardware and technical software, along with networking experience. This position requires the ability to maintain/repair mail sorting and processing equipment. Some mechanical/electrical aptitude required. This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday.

Job Description

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following areas:

Installing hardware and software

Troubleshooting hardware and software problems

Maintaining network facilities

Hardware/software inventory and tracking

Telephone system support

Maintaining and repairing mail sorting and processing equipment

Ordering and maintaining machine parts and supplies

Contacting and working with equipment contactors and support staff

Other duties, as assigned.

Position Requirements

Network experience, 2 years preferred

Must have some mechanical/electrical aptitude

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines

Must be detail oriented and very well organized

Must have a good, positive attitude and work ethic

High School Diploma required

College Degree in a Computer or Electronic field or 2 years’ experience in a similar position is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to kneel, bend and reach under machinery

Ability to work with hands over their head for an extended period

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
