Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is actively seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3) at our P-8 Test Lab in Kent, WA area. This is a highly visible fast paced ME position that incorporates complicated Engineering Changes for our US Navy (USN) customer requirements supporting all phases of Lab Test Change incorporation, coordinating with DE, Test Lab Engineering and Production teams, driving critical parts requirements and movement c/w Supply Chain Management Supply (SCMA) for to and from P-8 Production areas in Tukwila. Position Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
- Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
- Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
- Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
- Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
- Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
- Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
- Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
- Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
- Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.
- Redline Drawing change reviews
- Prioritize and Release work orders and provide limited drawing packages to shop
- Offload part fabrications to other labs (mainly to AM&P Seattle and Huntington Beach)
- Communicate with SCMAs, the expeditor, and the shop personnel for work order releases and part changes
- Process NCRs and generate rework orders
- Create and maintain procurement plans
- Maintain the electronic and hardcopy redline master and limited files and folders and the planning log file
- Process Coordination Memos and TWDs and ME stamp test procedures
- Create shippers
- Train and check other ME work
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- Experience working Electrical Racks/Panels/Shelves/wire bundle build up and Systems Integration Lab (SIL) experience commercial or military
- Functional Test/Lab Test/Mission Systems/Software, BDS MES experience
