Cost Accountant

DescriptionAccountemps is seeking a Cost Accountant for our client in the construction industry. The Cost Accountant must be a problem solver with strong communication skills and excellent analytical skills. The Cost Accountant will report to the Controller for this temporary opportunity.Job Duties: Heavy billing and analysis Monitor, trace and correct billing errors Prepare weekly man hour reports, labor hour reports, and job cost reports Prepare and manage invoices.RequirementsWhat we’re looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Cost Accounting or Construction / Manufacturing background (preferred)

Outstanding data entry skills

Strong communication skills

Prior experience working with spreadsheets, internet applications and ERP systems

Billing experience required; AIA experience a plus

Microsoft Excel experience required (pivot tables and VLOOKUPS)

-Google Sheets experience

Proficiency in Job Costing

Flexibility to work overtime as needed
