Production Planner

Job TitleProduction PlannerPosition OverviewOverview:This position will fairly and consistently release yarn to other tufting manufacturing plants.Responsibilities: Understand and apply basic computer knowledge to key in important information.Ability to interpret and explain order specification sheets.Schedule and prioritize orders to flow through the plant.Have initiative and be able to work with little supervision.Must be able to make decisions quickly and accurately.Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Express and maintain a professional attitude towards any and all customers (internal or external).Communicate routing instructions to warehouse personnel.Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to ensure customer’s requirements are met.Understand and Support all SAFE, SMS, TPM, Lean Six Sigma, and Environmental efforts.Ability to use/understand Demand Management, Shop Flex & TMS systems.Lead meetings when necessary and attend necessary training.Must be able to adapt to multiple high pressure changes and make decisions when necessaryCompetencies:Communicate Effectively.Solve Problems.Initiate Action.Adapt and Change.Collaborate Requirements:High School Diploma/GED requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft, word processing and spreadsheets Preferred: Production Planning/Inventory Management experiencePrevious warping or tufting carpet manufacturing experience Salary Grade 42 or 4 year degree preferredWork Shift8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AMShaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
