You’re constantly evolving, so shouldn’t your opportunities be, too?The OpportunityThe Mortgage Credit Risk team within the Independent Risk Management (IRM) function is responsible for the review and challenge of all Mortgage Business Line credit risk activities to ensure credit risk is being managed in a safe and sound manner.The Mortgage Credit Risk Testing and Monitoring Manager will ensure the Mortgage Business Line is originating and purchasing high quality loans that meet Ally’s underwriting guidelines. This is done by evaluating of all aspects of the Business Line’s credit-related transaction testing program, credit-related procedures, and proposed underwriting guideline changes.The Work ItselfReview Business Line transaction testing plan for coverage and sufficiency

Reperform samples of Business Line transaction testing semi-annually to ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines.

Review and challenge Business Line test scripts

Review and challenge the completeness and accuracy of Business Line reporting, remediation, and escalation activities

Evaluate of the design and effectiveness of Business Line procedures, programs, and processes that impact credit risk

Report results of review and challenge activities to the Chief Credit Risk Officer, the Mortgage Business Line Executive, and other key stakeholders

Review proposed underwriting guideline changes and recommend changes or improvements

Involvement in the analysis of Business Line proposals for new products

The Skills You Bring5+ years of experience, with a preference for mortgage underwriting, testing and monitoring, or consumer credit risk experience

Knowledge of Fannie Mae, FHA or typical jumbo loan underwriting guidelines strongly preferred

Proven track record of achieving objectives and managing issues through to resolution

Self-motivated, willing to take initiative, and capable of working independently

Solid written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and a strong desire to perform

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Proficient in MS Office Products
