Job DescriptionOverlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. 12 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. Proactively identify sales, product, business and/or performance gaps; leveraging solid sales and management expertise to offer solutions. Ensure external customer satisfaction to build a highly referenceable customer base. This individual must be a high energy, high impact, hands on, take charge executive with proven leadership skills. Additional characteristics include:· Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Advanced degree highly desirable but not mandatory· Industry Experience: A minimum of 10 years in software sales, including at least 3 years managing a Regional direct sales force· Pragmatic, results-orientated leadership experienceo Strong understanding and reputation for building, growing and managing over-achieving sales and/or sales overlay organizations.o Demonstrated strong leadership and ability to lead individual and team accomplishments.o Mature management style, instilling a co-operative team oriented culture· Deep understanding of the large enterprise sales process. Proven ability to initiate the process, shepherd it through gating events, discover and remove barriers to closing. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and manage the process.· Strong Open Source, Hybrid Cloud, Linux and Virtualization knowledge/expertise.· Strategic thinker, able to communicate (both written and verbal) effectively across the organization and able to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations and written communication· A history of proactive communication and sharing within a community (internal and external)· Excellent, needs analysis, solution selling & positioning, business justification, closing skills.· Hands-on and entrepreneurial style, personally involved in all elements of managing his/her functional responsibility. Brings a high degree of analytical, personal, and problem solving intelligence, and someone who seeks to develop like-minded senior managers with similar capabilities· Inherent customer-focus. Has achieved success through genuine focus on and concern for customers’ needs.
